WFC celebrates Filipino heritage month and independece day at city hall

WFC held its 4th annual Philippine flag raising ceremony and launch of Filiipino heritage month in Brandon at City Hall. Joined by delagates from the city of Brandon and the province of Manitoba, members of the Filipino community, proudly hoisted the Philippine flag to mark the country's 128th anniversary since the declaration of Philippine independence from Spain.

The annual Westman Multicultural Festival was held on February 5-7, 2026 with the opening ceremony held at the WIS Multicultural Centre. The WFC pavilion was hosted at the Knox United Church and welcomed more than 2,000 people over the weekend.
