What volunteering can get you?

As a registered not-for-profit, Westman Filipino Community Inc. can issue reference letters for good performance to our volunteers. You can use these letters as part of your resume, university or college applications, scholarships, or for other purposes.

Volunteer opportunities

Currently there are no specific volunteer roles. However we do look for volunteers for a variety of work thoughout the year. 

Call for Applications: WFC Board of Directors

WFC Inc. is looking for eager and enthusiastic members of our community who are interested in volunteering as part of our Board of Directors.

We are looking for members who have a background or interest in: Filipino cultural events, human resources, law or policy, business, and or community engagement. 

Who can apply:

1. Must be of Filipino descent

2. Must be legally entitled to stay or reside in Canada (Citizen, Permanent Resident, Temporary Resident i.e. student or work permit holders)

3. Must be a registered member of the community in good standing (register by clicking here)

4. Must be willing to volunteer their time in attending meetings (at least once a month) and events. WFC's board is an active board and collaborates with community members and volunteers on a regular basis
